Classic Pizza Came To Be In December 2001 When Robby And Susan Attempted To Go Out For Pizza With Friends Visiting From Germany. The Two Local Pizza Restaurants In The Area, At That Time Had Both Closed. (Remember Benedettis And Logans Pizzerias)
Susan Had Owned A Restaurant In Twiggs County From 1993 Until It Was Sold In 1999. Robby Was A 25-Year Contractor And Had The Construction Knowledge. Susan Had Taught Kindergarten For Years Previously So She Wanted To Be Kid Friendly. Robby Was Born And Raised In Germany So He Had The European Idea Of A Bar That Was Kid Friendly. So The Dream Was Created.

They Contacted The Crowes To Lease The Current Hwy 81 Location. February 2002 They Began Working On The First Location. The Two Of Them Did All The Buildout As Well As All The Research For Their Menu. They Ate Lots Of Pizza At Restaurants In The Southeast To Come Up With The Menu. (Oh Yes And “Sampled” Beers Too.)

Then The Long Awaited Day Came On May 14, 2002 The Doors Opened. Classic Pizza Was A Hit From The Beginning And Has Survived Ups And Downs To Remain The Local “Cheers” For The Youth Community
It Pleases Them To Have Seen People Run Into Old School Friends From Years Ago From Schools Locally As Well As From Other Areas Such As Stone Mountain.
They Have Seen People Meet And Become Friends And Some Meet Here And Married. Some Children Have Grown From Babies In Carriers Now To School Age .
It Is A Pleasant Feeling For Owners To See Families And Friends “Grow” And Continue To Be A Part Of The Classic Family.

The Customers Have Become Dear Friends. The Restaurant Has Become The Kind Of Place The Owners Envisioned As A Local Gathering Place For Adults And Children.
